Since 2013 Mark has been developing the Risk-Avert programme in partnership with Essex public health.
An innovative multi-component intervention focused on the early identification of risk-taking/exploratory behaviours, this programme is now delivered to over 30 secondary schools in two local authority areas in the southeast with planned expansion to further unitary and two tier authorities in 2015.
Mark’s main professional interests include: substance misuse, risk-taking / exploratory behaviours, emotional health and well-being and the development of resilience.
